Originally under a 2020 series commitment with CBS, it was canceled just before filming the first episode due to COVID. Now Netflix has picked it up for a 10-episode first season based on Mickey Haller’s second book, “The Brass Verdict.” Mickey Haller has several cars, all with personalized California license plates on legal terms. Personalized California license plates allow up to seven letters/numbers, but all Mickey License Plates have a minimum of eight.
I couldn’t be more wrong
Lincoln Lawyer was actually better than I expected. I’ve never read the books it’s based on, but I saw the Matthew McConaughey movie and thought it was pretty good, but not worth making into a TV series. I really expected it to be low budget.
I actually liked it more than the movie
I wasn’t going to watch it until I saw all the great reviews and found out it was one of the most watched shows of the year on Netflix. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo does well in the lead role and Becky Newton, Neve Campbell, Angus Sampson and others do a fantastic job in the supporting roles. While it’s not the best legal series you’ll ever see, it’s definitely worth checking out.
